I love variety, which is just as well as commissions have ranged from sampling swish resorts on St Lucia to being helicoptered onto a remote Scottish oil rig to check out the catering. But while I’ve happily interviewed celebrities, such as Laurence Llewelyn Bowen, Heston Blumenthal and (for five minutes) Michael Parkinson, I tend to spend most of my time speaking to company bosses, industry movers and shakers and the man in the street.
That said, I try not to pigeonhole myself. One week I might be writing consumer stories for supplements in the Guardian or Sunday Telegraph, and the next it’ll be news-led articles or business profiles for business-to-business titles such as The Caterer.
Having trained as a subeditor, I know the importance of accuracy and delivering copy to deadline. I’m also versatile and experienced, so if you need help with anything from editing to copywriting, I can help.
